About the Continuing Education Center
Based on the mission of the University of Telafer to strengthen ties with the local community and scientific and cultural institutions in Telafer district within Nineveh Governorate, the Continuing Education Center was established in 2017 as one of the academic units administratively affiliated with the University President. It operates in coordination with the continuing education units across the university’s colleges.
The Center is concerned with fulfilling the university’s third mission, which is community service, by developing skills, building capacities, and supplying institutions and the labor market with qualified cadres possessing the knowledge and expertise necessary for excellence in performance. Since its inception, the Center has consistently implemented specialized training programs and workshops across various fields, supervised by a distinguished cadre of university professors and experts. Its target groups include employees of the University of Telafer, other Iraqi universities, as well as departments and institutions within the Telafer district.
Moreover, the Center plays an active role in addressing societal challenges by organizing meetings, seminars, and cultural activities that enhance the university’s engagement with its social environment. Believing in the importance of keeping pace with changes and meeting contemporary requirements, the Center adopts a continuous improvement strategy aimed at elevating the quality of its programs, opening up to global universities, benefiting from their experiences, and implementing strategic studies alongside total quality management programs.
